Stoner Songs: "Rainy Day Women #12 and 35" (1966)
Better know for it's refrain of "Everybody must get stoned" than for its somewhat puzzling title, Bob Dylan's homage to herb cleverly plays off the other meaning of getting stoned, the biblical punishment involving the collectiove village throwing rocks at you until you die. Still, even the squares knew what Dylan was really talking about, which meant the song was banned from the radio despite reaching #2 on the charts. And by the way, 12 x 35 = 420.
