BURNING BOOKS: The Botany of Desire (2001)

First off we would like to say HAPPY VICTORIA DAY to our fellow Canadians.

Burning Books: The Botany of Desire (2001)

In this 2001 book, Michael Pollan, the gardening editors at the New York Times Magazine, tells the compelling life stories of four of our most common plants: apples, potatoes, tulips, and marijuana. Obviously, High Times subscribers will have the cannabis stativa section "highlighted" for special consideration, but may we humbly suggest that you kindly consider reading all four entries, as you'll learn not only the long and winding tale of how high-grade marijuana came into exsistence, but also how all cultivated plants have shaped and reshaped themselves to satisfy mankind's desires, and how mankind has served those plants in kind.

Thank you High Times.
