In the ever inward-facing world of director Kevin Smith, superstoners Jay and Silent Bob take center stage in this Clerks sequel, which finds the mismatched partners in crime heading for Hollywood to stop an ill-fated movie adaptation of Bluntman and Chronic, a comic based on their imagined lives as the infamous "Doobage Duo," a pair of average potheads who decide to remake themselves as marijuana superheroes after winning the lottery. To make things even more confusing, an actual comic called Bluntman and Chronic was also produced in real life, based on the fictitious version that first appeared in the plot to Smith's earlier film Chasing Amy.
